Dodge has issued a recall on nearly 243,000 of its pickup trucks after the company recognized a potential problem with the trucks’ front steering rod. This flaw has affected Dodge Ram trucks from the 2003-2011 model years.
If there is an issue with the front steering rod, it could result in a “loss of directional stability”. This problem increases the risk of a motor vehicle accident occurring because of the driver’s impaired ability to control the vehicle.
Steering could be impacted by the Dodge Ram’s problematic front steering rod. Dodge had already recalled over 15,000 trucks because of a different product defect in December and launched an investigation into this issue after they began to receive complaints.
The recall is voluntary, but it advised that all owners of the vehicles that were recalled go and get their defective tie rods in the front steering rod fixed. Dodge has said that they will repair them at no cost to the owner.
Driving around in a recalled Dodge could lead to an accident. This creates a dangerous situation for drivers. If you or a loved one has been involved in an accident caused by a faulty car part, then it is never too late to talk to a personal injury lawyer. They can help you win the personal injury settlement that you deserve.
